🧠TECH UNIT
“They don’t pull the trigger — they pull the strings.”
Every Strike Team has a Tech. Without one, you don’t just walk blind — you die blind. The Tech is the sensor operator, hacker, recon analyst, and battlefield engineer rolled into one. They don’t need to be the strongest or the fastest — they just need to be right.
Using advanced sensor rigs, scanning drones, signal interceptors, and neural uplinks, Techs map threats before they’re visible, disable enemy defenses, and exploit environmental weaknesses. They’re the ones who open sealed doors when time is running out, silence alarms before reinforcements arrive, and trace parasite signals back to the source.
While others fight the enemy with weapons, the Tech fights with information.
🧰 Gear and Tactics
HUD-Linked Scanner Visor – Tracks lifeforms, energy signatures, heat maps, and anomalies in real time.
Data Tablet or Wrist Console – Used to control drones, hack security, reroute power, or decrypt encrypted Martian tech.
Deployable Recon Drone – Lightweight aerial unit used for scouting rooms, tunnels, or distant terrain before committing boots on the ground.
EM Pulse Charges – Can disable enemy tech or short-circuit corrupted systems.
🔍 Combat Role
Recon & Intel – Provides situational awareness, identifies enemy positions, and marks weak points for Strikers.
Systems Control – Hacks doors, disables traps, restores power, and reconfigures tech.
Environmental Manipulation – Redirects energy, scans walls, uncovers hidden threats before they strike.
🧠Lore Detail
Most Techs weren’t soldiers — they were system architects, salvagers, or fringe explorers. Some were from corporate R&D, others from illegal tunnel-mapping outfits. But all of them see patterns where others see chaos.
Â
While a Push takes the hit, the Tech is already figuring out how to turn the battlefield itself against the enemy. And when everything goes dark and the alarms start screaming? It’s the Tech who whispers, “Give me ten seconds. I’ve got this.”
